• The world's most successful choir celebrates its big anniversary in 2025 with the brand new album "25/2025"
• "25/2025" - the anniversary album with 30 songs - writes the next chapter in this unique success story. The double album contains 17 well-known and popular Gregorian hits as well as 13 brand new productions. The new songs include great interpretations of well-known global hits by The Weeknd, Talk Talk, Peter Gabriel, Depeche Mode, Ozzy Osbourne, Bruce Springsteen and other well-known acts.
• The idea for Gregorian came about when Hamburg hit producer Frank Peterson (Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, José Carreras, Justin Timberlake, Backstreet Boys and many more) visited the royal monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial in Spain in 1989. There he found the inspiration to mix old Gregorian music with modern songs - a unique sound experiment. Peterson first realized the idea with Michael Cretu and the worldwide sound phenomenon 'Enigma'. The first album "MCMXC a.D." was released in 1990 and quickly became a worldwide success.
• This sensational success paved the way for further developing the musical idea behind Gregorian and establishing Gregorian as an independent act in 1999 with the release of the debut album "Masters Of Chant".
• Millions of albums sold, over 1,400 shows in front of more than 3.2 million concertgoers and numerous gold and platinum awards later, Gregorian are now celebrating their 25th anniversary. With their music, Gregorian not only continue to set new standards in Germany, but also inspire millions of people around the world with their live shows and their ability to switch seamlessly from classical chorales to pop and rock songs.
