• With a mixture of Dadaist humor, electronic minimalism and irresistible catchy tunes, DÖF made music history in 1983.
• Now, for the first time in decades, the legendary self-titled album DÖF is being re-released as an LP reissue in a limited, colored and remastered vinyl edition for collectors and fans of Austropop and Neue Deutsche Welle.
• At the center of the album is the mega-hit "Codo... (Ich düse im Sauseschritt)", which not only conquered the charts beyond the borders of the German-speaking world, but also became one of the most iconic NDW songs. With his idiosyncratic wit, charmingly quirky electropop and unmistakable aesthetic, DÖF shaped an entire generation.
• Behind DÖF - short for "Deutsch-Österreichisches Feingefühl" - were the Austrian cabaret artists Joesi Prokopetz and Manfred Tauchen, who together with the Berlin musician and producer Annette Humpe (Ideal, later Ich + Ich) created a unique sound between satire, pop and zeitgeist. Humpe was not only involved in the production of the album, but also played a key role in shaping its characteristic sound - a creative crossover between Viennese wit and Berlin coolness.
