Two Oasis record nights at Knebworth took place on August 10 and 11, 1996, with over 250,000 fans witnessing this historic moment. Tickets went on sale on May 11, 1996, lines formed in front of local music stores and ticket offices during the night, and fans around the world spent the day on their landlines trying to connect to constantly busy booking lines. All tickets sold out in less than 24 hours, breaking any UK box office record. Organizers estimated the team might have sold two or three times as many tickets, with over 2% of the UK population trying to buy tickets.

Cool Britannia was born, a period of heightened popularity of British popular culture and pride in its worldwide spread. Oasis instantly embodied this newfound optimism and pride. Two short years turned the team from the Manchester urban estate into one of the largest teams in the world.
The Knebworth concert features a set list full of classics such as "Columbia", "Ascuiesce", "Champagne Supernova" and "Don't Look Back In Anger." Of course, "Wonderwall", the first song from the 90s that exceeded a billion streams on Spotify, could not be missing.
