Detaily
Formát: Vinyl, LP, Album
Žánr: Jazz
Styl: Modern Jazz
• Not only country music comes from Texas, but also fiery modern jazz! Tenor saxophonist Walter Smith III, who has already played with Roy Haynes, Bilal, Destiny's Child, Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter, sees his second Blue Note album as a tribute to his home town of Houston. The ironic album title alludes to the fact that pianist Jason Moran and drummer Eric Harland are also Houston natives, while bassist Reuben Rogers from the Virgin Islands rounds off the quartet, which shines with ten Smith originals and a fantastic interpretation of Sam Rivers' "Point Of Many Returns".
